This classic decorative mineral material is no longer available on the contemporary market: a very large slice from a multiple stalactite of rhodochrosite, collected in Argentina in the 1980s. The quality of the slice itself, and the polish and preparation, is very high. This is from old inventory of a dealer friend, purchased after they came out and stashed aside since the 1980s. The more you look, the more complexity you see in this mesmerizing large slice of rhodochrosite, showing concentric bands and patterns of formation with slight and subtle color variations. Large, intact, and well-formed, this simply demands eye attention in any case and we often see them proudly placed in showcases of more typical mineral specimens. 271 grams.
