An old-time, classic chalcoalumite specimen from the Type Locality - the Copper Queen Mine at Bisbee. The sculptural, very vuggy crust is covered with turquoise-blue chalcoalumite botryoids. Chalcoalumite is a rare copper, aluminum sulfate. This is undoubtedly old material, dating from the late 1800s-early 1900s. From an older museum collection dating to prior to WW I.
