There is a magical complexity to the structure of these Fluorite crystals from the Obdulia Vein at Emilio mine, in the Colunga District, Asturias, Spain. Long known for optically extremely gemmy Fluorite crystals, and sometimes with exceptionally complex crystal shapes, this large miniature specimen from Jesse Fisher's collection has both features in abundance. It presents crystals dominated by the cube and dodecahedron combination and is stacked full of amazing crystallographic detail to enjoy. The Fluorite crystals are completely colourless and perfectly transparent, sitting upon a hard siliceous matrix. The largest crystal reaches 1.2 cm across but most are a little smaller, but their wonderful shape can still be appreciated very easily. In terms of overall quality this really is a top class large miniature-sized Spanish Fluorite.
