Not only is this superb crystallized plate of colourless Fluorite big and dramatic, but it is in pristine condition too, with remarkably perfect, sharp cubic crystals completely covering the extensive display surface. These crystals reach over 2 cm on edge, and most are above 1.5 cm, making for a really stunning display full of wonderful crystallographic detail across its surface. Many of the crystals have glassy faces, but some are lightly frosted too. Additionally, it comes from the famous Clara mine in the Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, which is one of the most important mineral localities in the world for species diversity. As Clara mine Fluorites go, this is magnificent, and worthy of an exceptional collection. Ex Hettrich Collection.
