This lovely small cabinet specimen of pale amber-coloured Fluorite with a partial overgrowth of sugary Quartz crystals comes from Vensat at Riom, Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. Although not specified on the original label it is most likely from the Côte Rousse quarry. This relatively thin plate features several very gemmy Fluorite crystals with the largest crystals concentrated towards one side of the display surface. The main crystal is a perfect cube reaching 1.3 cm on edge and is in wonderful condition. The small Quartz crystals add a lovely touch to this piece, covering large parts of the surface, but leaving the main gemmy Fluorite crystals clear. Ex Arvid Pasto Collection.
