I have been collecting minerals in some form since I was about 8 years old, digging around the south coast of the UK (ignoring the fossils and collecting pyrite). This eventually brought me to my career as a geologist, and a shift to economic geology and mineral exploration around 20 years ago. I always had rocks from around the world where I had worked but started collecting more seriously around around 10 years ago, with a focus on Arizona, Namibia and some general worldwide classics. Since then many pieces have come and gone from my collection and I now focus almost entirely on Tsumeb with combinations being a particular favourite.
