This rare larger display specimen of Dioptase on Calcite from Tsumeb mine presents the highly sought after aesthetic combination of extremely gemmy emerald-green Dioptase crystals dispersed across a backdrop of creamy-white crystallized Calcite. Individually, the rhombic-faced prisms of Dioptase reach 9 mm in length and with good lighting these crystals really intensify in brightness to an extremely high standard. There is some minor chipping to a few of the Dioptase crystals but in terms of overall aesthetics and size for display, this is a top class piece. Ex Weyand collection.
