This is a very colourful individual matrixless Elbaite tourmaline crystal from the modern classic site at Coronel Murta, Minas Gerais, Brazil. At 3.5 cm in length it is a good size and with a rich raspberry-pink colour, but its termination is not perfect and it has slightly 'crazed' prism sides where tiny needle-like tourmaline crystals have overgrown - hence the slightly reduced price compared with others of this size. It is mounted an a small acryllic cube for display.
