Calcite with amethyst is not a rare combination, a large double terminated clear yellow calcite with a cluster of the finest quality colored amethyst - that is something precious. The calcite has excellent quality and form. The deep rich purple amethyst, in delicate stalactites, suspended from the side of the calcite adds a robust splash of color. This specimen brings together two common crystals and creates a sculptural specimen that transcends the species themselves.
