Mimetite partial pseudomorph after Aragonite var. Tarnowitzite$12,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This incredible partial pseudomorph of Mimetite after Aragonite var. Tarnowitzite could throw some collectors and blow their mind. Both species being prismatic and hexagonal in form one might be forgiven for thinking that this the world's largest Mimetite crystal - at 4 cm in length - when in fact it is Mimetite replacing a large Aragonite crystal. The mustard-yellow Mimetite covers the whole display surface of the specimen as a finely crystallized sugary coating but when it comes to the Aragonite crystal it has permeated within and replaced it inside too. This replacement appears complete, but has generated a slightly hoppered tip to the crystal with a porous interior - hence the 'partial' pseudomorph title. Its prism sides are still well defined. This is a really unusual and intriguing Tsumeb pseudomorph. It comes with a purpose-made acryllic display stand.
