Tourmaline with Lepidolite
Exceptional specimen featuring deep blue, gem quality tourmaline prisms surrounded by vibrant purple lepidolite. The primary tourmaline crystals display high luster and remarkable transparency. Purple lepidolite clusters are distributed throughout, encasing and crowning the main tourmaline formations. Transparent albite blades provide contrasting white accents.
This piece exemplifies the finest mineral characteristics of the Golconda pegmatite field, combining premium examples of all three species.
Ex. Daniel R. Kennedy collection.
