This very lovely small gemmy pale raspberry pink Elbaite tourmaline crystal from Coronel Murta in Minas Gerais, Brazil, has one repair 1 cm up from its base. It displays a perfectly flat, matt, pinacoid termination, with just microscopic chipping around the edges. Its gemmy pale raspberry-pink body colour is uniform along almost its entire length, with just the top 2 mm transitioning to pale blue and then darker raspberry-red. Small clusters of platy, micaceous lepidolite crystals are attached to the base of the crystal. Overall, a very nice size and well-formed Brazilian Elbaite tourmaline for the price.
