Description

Lovely, bronze-like Fluor-Buergerite Tourmaline crystals in altered Rhyolite. Similar to "Liddicoatite" vs Fluor-Liddicoatite these were originally called Buergerite, until it was determined that they are in fact the Fluorine-dominant end member. "Buergerite" is not a mineral that has been identified yet.

But the story for this mineral and especially the type locale get more curious....They were originally a one-time find in the 1960s by a single guy who died before ever telling others about the locale. The locale was lost until it was rediscovered by a team tasked by Dr. Miguel Romero to find it.
