Pyromorphite with Plumbogummite after Pyromorphite$3,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A quartet of yellow-green hemispheres of sparkling Pyromorphite are revealed under a blanket of pale blue Pyromorphite from the Yangshuo Mine in China. This is a great piece for color and textural contrast with the round, somewhat roughly surfaced (from the terminations of all the tightly divergent Pyromorphite crystals), translucent yellow-green Pyromorphite spheres contrasting to the translucent pale blue, almost bubbly botryoidal Plumbogummite. The Pyromorphite spheres are from 1.6 to 2.4 cm across and their surfaces just scintillate. The Plumbogummite has mostly satin to matte luster on top, however, the bottom reveals the more typical almost velvety blue style typical of this deposit with some lighter blue patches; and you can see that the plumbogummite is actually a pseudomorph (replacement) of a previous generation of pyro! A very small area also shows the small-scale rhythmic color banding of the Plumbogummite from pale blue to medium blue to white! A great secondary lead mineral species combo piece! This was from surprising finds of 2019, and I had purchased this in China and kept in my own Chinese mineral collection until now (trying to be disciplined and not keep all small but lovable combination pieces that I like!).
