This amazing Pentagonite is from the Wagholi Quarries in the Pune District of Maharashtra State, India. As many collectors now associate Pentagonite with Wagholi, they suppose this to be its type locality. However, it was first found in Oregon, USA, as was its dimorph, Cavansite. Deep cyan-electric blue Pentagonite forms a sculptural display of crystals with an overall height of 3.4 cm; an if measured to the lowest point of the Pentagonite, then 3.9 cm. The vivid blue crystals display to perfection against a carpet of glassy, white Stilbite micro-crystals covering a basalt matrix. A gorgeous specimen of this rare mineral, mounted on a square, clear acrylic base.
