Elbaite
This is a rare, robustly colored tourmaline from Strickland Quarry: a single crystal that goes from cranberry to magenta at the top. This does have some bruising and contact but it's still a really nice tourmaline for the locality - and the color is stunning. As a bonus, it is nicely pleochroic as well, going from a light pink to wine purple color in front of a polarized screen. Ex. Shields Flynn, from his large and important suite of East Coast locations.
