When an isolated crystal, or cluster of crystals sits by itself on a contrasting matrix such as this piece, the dramatic flair and appearance is evident. This specimen is from the very famous Erongo Region, in Namibia. The luster exhibited by the piece is exceptional; the cluster of smoky Amethyst crystals appears as a glassy flower against the bright white Quartz matrix, or a castle on a snowy hill.
