An excellent double terminated, tapering candy pink and light peppermint green crystal of Tourmaline from the Cryo-Genie mine in California. One termination is a flat pinacoid and the other, a multi-faced rounded pyramid. Adding curiosity to this large miniature, the prism bends at about 1.5 cm below the termination of the green section. Tourmaline crystals are prone to occasionally bend due to tectonic disturbance while growing in the water-rich pegmatite melt. A cluster of small milky white Tourmaline crystals have developed on the prism faces at this particular point. The prism has one recorded repaired just below this cluster of crystals. This lovely specimen comes with a Gochenour's Mining label on which is noted the specimen was found in October 2002. Ex Jesse Fisher and Joan Kurecka collection.
