Substantial bladed-prismatic crystals of the manganese hydrous phosphate Eosphorite, measuring to 1.5 cm, are clustered and scattered on a prism section of Quartz matrix from the Ilha Claim in Minas Gerais, Brazil. For the species, the crystals are superb, as they are more typically encountered as micro, sub-mm crystals and more granular in texture than crystalline. Adding to the attractive nature of this specimen, the Quartz grades to a micro-crystalline Rose Quartz across one face over an area of about 2.5 x 2 cm.
