Sharp, virtually damage free, twinned Dolomite rhombic crystals in association with a few smaller Dolomite crystals form this gorgeous crystal group from the Azc'rate quarry by the village of Eugui in Navarra, Spain. This beautiful miniature is free from matrix and varies from gemmy to translucent although is essentially transparent. Most of the prism faces are heavily striated which, when caught in reflected light, add greatly to the overall aesthetic. This still active magnesite quarry is located close to the Spanish-France border and produces some of the very best Dolomite crystals in the world.
