Mimetite ps. after Cerussite
A rare pseudomorph from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Light banana yellow intergrown micro-crystals of Mimetite have replaced twinned Cerussite crystals measuring overall to 3.7 cm and forming about one half of a sixling. A complete sixling, or stellate repeated twin, is composed of three cyclic pairs of twinned Cerussite crystals so forming a six-arm star. This specimen, despite being a delicate pale powder yellow, is immediately recognised as a part Cerussite sixling pseudomorph. A rare and wonderful pseudomorph from the world famous Tsumeb mine.
