A beautiful bi-coloured pale pink and green Elbaite tourmaline crystal from the remote location of the Wama District in Nuristan Province, Afghanistan, with a smaller Tourmaline crystal in parallel growth. Measuring just over 6 cm long and around 1 cm in thickness, this gemmy crystal begins a dark bottle-green at its base and grades through watery bluish-green; pale candy pink; further watery bluish-green and terminates in pale green with hints of lilac. The prism faces are deeply striated and are capped with a perfect three-sided pyramidal termination. A splendid off-matrix tourmaline from the Wama in Afghanistan.
