Description
An elegant and aesthetic divergent group of deep limey-bottle-green Epidote crystals from Knappenwand in the Untersulzbach Valley, about 90 km SW of Salzburg, Austria. A tapering pair of much large crystals dominate the specimen, both 3 cm tall; one with a perfect termination and one cleaved. Other similar, but smaller, Epidote crystals radiate out from near the base, emanating from a cluster of snow-white to translucent, glassy Adularia crystals. This lovely specimen is glued to a small cubic, clear acrylic base.
