A very classic north of England Witherite crystal specimen from Nentsberry Haggs Mine, Nenthead, Cumbria. A fine display of Witherite crystals measuring to 7cm tall showing extensive parallel position and stepped growth. with pinacoid terminations. As is so characteristic of this form of Witherite it is mostly covered by a thin layer of white Baryte. The Witherite has formed on a matrix of altered grey Limestone. A super specimen probably from the Admiralty Flats area of the mine
