Description

Excellent purple-mauve crystals of the rare calcium copper borate Henmilite are dusted and speckled over coral-like branching micro-crystalline creamy-white Calcite. The Henmilite crystals are well formed, measuring between 1 and 2 mm and attractively contrast against the creamy-white Calcite matrix. The Calcite has a bright glassy lustre producing a sparkling effect and despite the Henmilite crystals being so small, their distinct colour is readily apparent. A fine small cabinet specimen from its type locality at the Fuka mine on Honshu Island, Japan. This specimen is accompanied with an old Crystal Classics label dating back about 20 years.
