Spherical clusters of crystalline Witherite to over 2 cm diameter form a mammillated group from Nentsberry Haggs mine on Alston Moor in Cumbria. As often observed here, the slightly glassy, translucent Witherite is coated in a very thin layer of opaque snow-white Baryte. A good example of Witherite and Baryte from this famous Northern England mine.
