MIMETITE Var. CAMPYLITE
Rounded, curved crystals of light caramel-brown Mimetite, variety Campylite, with hints of mustard-yellow; burnt orange and siskin-green, from Dry Gill mine in the Caldbeck Fells, Cumbria, England. Spherical crystal aggregates to 1 cm in diameter form a tight cluster cemented by a pervading matrix of sooty-black Roman'chite and mixed manganese oxides. The Campylite crystals have a bright glassy lustre.
