Description
Sharp, beautifully crystallised colourless Quartz crystals, of the variety Rock Crystal, form a spectacular off-matrix group with gemmy, water-clear crystals radiating out in all directions. Many of the crystals have asymmetric terminations of the Dauphin' habit, especially the most dominant crystal which measures 5.8 cm from where it merges into the crystal group. All the crystals are completely transparent except for the largest, this having a cloudy, milky lower half with a gemmy top section. A beautiful example of Rock Crystal Quartz from Diamantina in the Jequitinhonha Valley of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
