This is a very important locality specimen, that also happens to be an incredible apatite thumbnail in its own right. This is a barrel-like crystal has a cheery, robust purple color. Horni Slavkov is an ancient mining district and to be honest, I have not seen a lot of beautiful things from here. In old collections, I have seen such apatites, in the size of 5mm to 1 cm at most, and so I suspect this is a real monster. The specimen has a previous collector label, but we are unsure who it is from, and it was purchased off a dealer with no further history.
