Malachite ps. Azurite
The Sounion #6 Mine, located within the historic Lavrion District, is noted for a variety of Malachite pseudomorphs. Here, the Malachite spheres, up to 1.5 cm across, have replaced a tightly clustered group of Azurite crystals in this mine's classic replacement. The deep, forest-green color is very appealing, and the textured surfaces of the pseudos is intricately detailed. This fine, aesthetic, small miniature was found in 2020. The sphere is 1.4 cm across.
