Fluorapophyllite with Stilbite
An aesthetic and classic cluster of gemmy, green Fluorapophyllite crystals accented by white Stilbite from the famous quarries in Jalgaon, India. This is a gorgeous and rather large, almost floral, divergent spray of glistening, mint green Fluorapophyllite on a shard of basalt rock matrix that is covered by a druse of off-white, early generation Stilbite. The short, prismatic Fluorapophyllite crystals are squarish in outline and come to distinct points. Dozens of glassy, transparent, terminated Fluorapophyllites comprise the cluster and it just glimmers from all of the mirror-like internal reflections! Crystals vary from 1.0 to 2.5 cm in length and all of them just glow. For added aesthetics, several later stage, white to colorless-transparent Stilbite crystals grace the Fluorapophyllite cluster in places with a prominent single crystal front and center on the cluster. This is a dramatic and excellent example from the finds here. This piece is accompanied by a custom acrylic base.
