Linarite and Cerussite with Caledonite
A very interesting, sparkly, beautiful Tsumeb piece that struck us by surprise - having not seen this association before from Tsumeb. The immediate conclusion is that it was actually leadhillite from Tiger. It LOOKS like it...the matrix is unusual for Tiger, though. So, after analysis (RAMAN at University of Arizona), we can confirm that this is a strange blue cerussite in the form of small crystals, colored by inclusions of the copper minerals linarite and caledonite. I have now seen two such specimens and both were labelled as Tsumeb, giving me further confidence in the location stated on Kay's label (and one older accompanying label). This clearly would be something very old, from the first oxide zone, prior to 1920, at Tsumeb.
