Peridot Crystal from Pakistan
Peridot which is sometimes called Chrysolite is a gem-quality olivine and a silicate mineral. Its green color depends on the iron content within the structure of the gem. Peridot occurs in silica-deficient rocks such as volcanic basalt and pallasite meteorites.
