Inesite from Wessels has always been considered very desirable for the species. Exquisitely emplaced on matrix are few spherical aggregates to 2 cm across of matte luster, translucent, deep rose-red colored inesite. As a color and textural contrast, there are two prismatic, lustrous and translucent, colorless calcite crystals, to 1.4 cm in length, perched on the inesite. The color of the inesite is among the richest and deepest seen from Wessels. These were found in the late 1980s, as I recall.
