A HISTORICAL, gemmy and lustrous, doubly terminated tourmaline from the famous Mt. Mica of Paris, Maine. This tourmaline has four color stages of teal-blue to green in its length. One end of the crystal has multiple terminations, while the other end is flattened, matte-black. According to the James Zigras label, this superb specimen was mined by Loren Merrill, who owned the rights to operate Mt. Mica from the 1890's to early 1910's. Ex Zigras traded to George Elling. 113 grams.
