An absolutely the gorgeous translucent yellow crystallized cluster of brucite. This is in super condition all around. These Pakistani brucite specimens are the best in the world for the species. The color is phenomenal. This is crystallized all around with no points of attachment. The Nisai brucite occurrence, located in the Killa Saifullah District of Balochistan, Pakistan, is famous for producing the world's finest specimens of vibrant yellow brucite. Geologically, the deposit is hosted within the Muslim Bagh Ophiolite, a massive complex of ultramafic rocks that were obducted during the collision of the Indian and Eurasian plates. The brucite formed as a secondary mineral through the hydrothermal alteration of magnesium-rich rocks, specifically serpentinized dunites and peridotites, where magnesium-bearing fluids precipitated in fractures and veins. The material is prized for its intense "lemon" to "honey" yellow color and its unique botryoidal or platy growth habits. Historically, while the region has long been mined for chromite, the specific discovery and commercial extraction of yellow brucite as a mineral specimen began in the late 2000s and surged in the early 2010s. There are no large-scale industrial mining dates because the material is recovered by local miners using hand tools in small, scattered surface excavations. Today, Nisai remains the definitive global locality for this species, consistently supplying the international market with lustrous, brightly colored specimens that are highly sought after by collectors.
