Brucite
Although brucite is now common as a species, truly exceptional specimens are rare, and have remained so as the new deposit is exploited. This style came out early, and has been treasured ever since. We doubt that more than a handful of this quality exists in fine specimens. Here is a balanced, single, glassy, translucent and almost gemmy, vivid yellow brucite cluster measuring 4 cm across, just perfectly displayed. It is perched high on its contrasting off-white matrix. This is one of the more impressive and aesthetic specimens of the yellow brucites from finds at this chromite occurrence in Pakistan from over a decade ago. The color is lemon yellow and the luster is almost metallic. This brucite find simply redefined the species for collectors because of the hot color and impressive three-dimensionality. This piece consists of one, distinctly isolated, glossy, botryoidal, bright brucite sphere which sits at the apex of this elongate triangular-shaped matrix. The brucite botryoid is complete, pristine and gorgeously translucent throughout. This is just an impressive and beautiful display piece for the species and unprecedented in showmanship. It was displayed at the Munich Show by Paul; and is accompanied by the card from his display. It is the highest level, of refinement in what came out; not the biggest or the richest example. In person, it has an impact that is hard to convey. Purchased from Marcus Budil's collection.
