Lollingite with Siderite
An old classic sulfide species from a very important location in Austria! This is a great example for the species and the locality that is made up of nearly two-thirds löllingite and the remainder siderite. This small cabinet specimen is composed of intergrown, divergent, silvery metallic löllingite crystals to 4.5 cm with a granular-massive, tan siderite matrix for great contrast. It is an exceptional display piece for the species and, again, the locality. The Lolling Mining District in Austria contains three small localities, one of which is the Wolf Mine, the type locality for löllingite. We have never had anything comparable to this to offer. It seems a significant old metallic specimen.
