This is a crystallized specimen of gold, ancient in time and worn by the tens of millions of years since it was formed; moved by natural processes, redeposited, and waiting to be found. Nevertheless, you can clearly see distinct crystal shape and robust form of a distorted octahedral crystal here. This is actually a single crystal that has been rounded and patterned by time. From an old collection, thought to have been found in 2005-2015. It is just over one troy ounce in mass at 32.4 grams.
