Tourmaline from USA, Maine, Dunton Gem Quarry, Newry, Oxford Co., Maine, USA
This is a very oldstyle tourmaline almost certainly from the early 1900s, with a pure evergreen-green color to it and not a trace of the blue hue that was found in the 1970s pockets in a later phase of mining. As such, this is an important old specimen of a distinct style.
