I am a German mineral collector. My interest in minerals was triggered at an early age by a Kindergarten teacher who one day showed her collection to the Kindergarten class. Fortunately, my father then took me to the local quarries to look for fossils but also minerals (Calcite, Marcasite) and to a mineral show which deepened my interest. To this day I am still fascinated by minerals and enjoy spending time with minerals and fellow mineral collectors. Most importantly and really the best part of mineralcollecting for me is that my son is also a mineral collector. There is nothing better than sharing a hobby with your son!
