That large cluster of veszelyite is 1.8 cm across, among the largest in this discovery! It is set dramatically against sparkling druse of hemimorphite, rich in copper content which gives the bright blue hue. The piece is balanced and a right size to show the crystals as dominant, particularly in any collection based on miniature size or organized by sizes in drawers. This piece LEAPS out. We bought a number of these in order to get the choice specimens we liked most with generally isolated crystals on the "blue carpet," of which this one one of the best of the miniatures. Even amongst a large find of this formerly rare species, this style stands out loud for the aesthetics and colors. From a 2024 find of this very rare copper/zinc species, a startling combination piece showing off bright glassy veszelyite crystals.
