Smoky Quartz with Fluorite & Feldspar
An interesting location fluorite specimen we were surprised to see in a group of material from a dealer who says he collected them in Ukraine (prior to 2023). This specimen features an interesting cluster of translucent purple, highly modified fluorite crystals, approx. 3 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm in size, perched in a pegmatite matrix of feldspar and quartz. They are so complicated, geometric as a whole, that it is hard to get a read on crystal habit here. Part of a small lot of a dozen or so specimens, we were surprised, and picked a few up.
