Gorgeous, gemmy, bi-colored fluorite crystals bejewel the crest of attractive, milky quartz crystals on the central display area of this spectacularly colorful small cabinet piece from early 2024 finds! The sparkling, gem sea-green fluorites have some eye catching, rich purple zoning highlights and the crystal form is dominated by the cube with dodecahedral modifications. The more you look, the more mesmerizing they are! The crystals vary in size from 0.5 to 2.4 cm and the purple, apparition-like areas are not true zones or phantoms as they are very discontinuous, but they do complement the dominant sea-green color and add wonderful aesthetics to the piece. The brilliant fluorites are set on a bed of 3 mm to 1.7 cm, glistening, milky white quartz crystals that adds tremendous visual appeal to the piece! No damage to the display face and the bottom has a sawn surface. The fluorite fluoresce a rich violet-blue under long-wave UV! This was from one small pocket Rob bought on the ground in China in 2024, and just seemed so different from others of the sort we had seen before. The combination on quartz, and all the subtle details of shape and color, make them stand out (and yes, this was one of the best pieces of only a dozen or so).
