Fluorite with Quartz$3,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A very beautiful, sharp and sculptural trio of rich green fluorite perched upon translucent quartz crystals comprise this small cabinet piece from the now famous and distinctive fluorite occurrence at Riemvasmaak, South Africa. This is balanced, and displays well. It is a quality we have not seen for sale in many years, as these all went into collections and only slowly rotate out. These were found in the early 2000s, and almost none have come out since. Translucent light gray to pale tan, coarse to fine drusy quartz overgrowth floats a trio of lustrous, gemmy light emerald green fluorite octahedrons to 2 to 3.5 cm on edge. The fluorite crystals, especially the two prominent ones, have sharp faces and edges with some corners having multiple points for added interest. The fluorite octahedrons fluoresce a light purple under short-wave UV and a rich purple color under long-wave fluorescent light. A small amount of hyalite opal as an accent was also found on the piece that glows bright yellow in short-wave UV.
