Shocking purple fluorite crystals are clustered and placed nicely on contrasting drusy quartz matrix from the Xia Yang Mine in China that is famous for the production of these "tanzanite fluorites" as they were being labelled as such in China for their rich, transparent purple colors. There are a few dozen of these very gemmy, vibrant purple fluorites on this piece that just scintillate and glow! Crystals are composed of the both the cube and dodecahedron just about in equal parts and the fluorites range in size from 0.8 to 2.7 cm in size. They are so gemmy and transparent that you can see right through to the matrix, especially with the smaller ones! In the closeup, there looks to be a ding on the big crystal but that is a stepped, intricate face, in person. They are set on a gray matrix largely covered in a druse tiny, 1 to 2 mm, whitish to colorless quartz crystals. This piece is probably from more recent finds given the darker matrix. A stunning small cabinet piece!
