The diversity of Fluorite crystals from Bergmännisch Glück mine, at Annaberg-Buchholz, Annaberg District, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany is quite staggering. Originally an 18th century mine, it was reopened after the Second World War for uranium. Although long since closed, stunning Fluorite specimens are still being found by collectors in the old workings. This intensely amber-coloured aggregate of glassy large (to over 5 cm on edge) cubic crystals makes a large triangular-shaped display plate. In extremely fine condition, the Fluorite crystals also present colour-zoning, with darker cores.
