One of the most exhibited thumbnail specimens from the famous 1980s finds of these large, neon pink calcite crystals from the DRC, this has particularly good hot color combined with sparkle and transparency! Alex's notes say he got this from the importer, Ken Roberts (Roberts Minerals), who handled most of them at the time (at least, most of what came to the USA). On the backside of the TGMS label (now missing but we find this note in Alex's archives), Ken wrote: “from my personal collection." Exhibited: Connoisseurs Thumbnails at the 2013 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, conceived and organized by Jim Houran and Alex Schauss.
