A sharp, stunningly metallic, jet-black hematite crystal from the famous find of ultra-shiny hematites found in about 2006, which many consider a best of species pocket. Other world-class hematites exist, to be sure, but this pocket was something special, and the overall quality of these crystals, metallic and jet black at the same time, was legendary. They are like mirrors. This is a particularly fine thumbnail example, immediately recognizable as from that pocket, with the best luster. It has unusual crystal shape, with a nice broad face on top for display. It is a worthy and competition-level thumbnail that stands out from most other hematite specimens in this size class, for combination of quality and form.
