A "color bomb" of lemon yellow, sugary crystals of the very rare species Jouravskite. This came from one of only a few pockets found in the early 2000s, and which (mostly) went to us at the time. Seems to have been a one time, one pocket, for each style of this material - the sugary clusters as you see here; and a later very different find of sharp crystals to 1 cm. Alex bought this cute floater cluster while visiting Dallas in 2014 as we went through old material from dealer/collector Charlie Key's collection (which we had earlier obtained). Alex's note says, "From: Rob Lavinsky The Arkenstone, Dallas, Texas, June 9, 2014. A glowing yellow "gem" of intergrown microcrystals showing intense color saturation and an unusually high luster for the species. It glows with a color like a lemon peel, as if it was made of sparkly sugar crystals. This superb example of its species from the personal thumbnail collection of (semi-) retired dealer Charlie Key whom is certainly, in my book, the top dealer in African minerals in our lifetimes."
